605 Collective is heading to Guelph Contemporary Dance Festival at the end of May 2013 to perform excerpts from two works, New Animal (by Dana Gingras) and AUDIBLE (by 605 Collective).

AUDIBLE excerpt at In The Park Series:
The In the Park series performs on Thursday May 30th at 7pm, Saturday June 1st at noon, and Sunday June 2nd at noon.

605 is making their Edmonton debut on October 5 + 6, 2012. The company will be performing Inheritor Album at the Timms Centre for the Arts as a part of the Brian Webb Dance Company Season. Co-directors Josh Martin and Shay Kuebler both grew up in the Edmonton area and are finally getting to bring the collective to their “hometown”!

From July 31-August 5th, 2012, 605 will be performing an excerpt of Audible at Dusk Dances. Performances are each night in Withrow Park. The band starts at 7:00 pm, and the dancing starts at 7:30 pm. If you are in Toronto, please come down and check it out. Dusk Dances is a great summer evening event suitable for families and dance enthusiasts of all ages!

605 is about to premiere their second full-length work, Inheritor Album. This new piece includes 6 performers (Josh Martin, Shay Kuebler, Lisa Gelley, David Raymond, Justine Chambers, and Laura Avery), original animation by Miwa Matreyek, and original sound by Kristen Roos (as well as music by Joshua Treble, Glen Branca, and Thom Yorke).

After the premiere performances of New Animal, a commissioned work by Dana Gingras (co-produced by Animals Of Distinction), The 605 Collective now heads back out on tour with their first major work, Audible, for some quick performances in Alberta and Ontario. Current 2012 tour dates are as follows:
Feb 29th – Banff Centre for the Arts, Banff, Alberta
March 3rd – Brock University, St. Catharines, Ontario
March 7th – The Oakville Centre, Oakville, Ontario
March 10th – Market Hall Performing Arts Centre (Public Energy), Peterborough, Ontario
The final performance in Peterborough will mark the company’s 50th formal public presentation of Audible. The artists are looking forward to bringing out their next work in creation, Inheritor Album, premiering at Canada Dance Festival at The National Arts Centre in Ottawa – June 2012.

After a performance at Canada Dance Festival 2011, held at that National Arts Centre in Ottawa, The 605 Collective brings work-in-progress excerpts from their highly anticipated work Inheritor Album back to Vancouver and their home audience. Inheritor EP will be presented through Dancing On The Edge Festival performed at The Firehall Arts Centre:
